Wassell, who signed with Trailfinders before the season, shares her excitement, saying, "I'm desperate to get on the pitch. Representing Trailfinders has been an incredible experience, and I'm thrilled to be part of this competitive league."

On the other hand, Evans welcomes the idea of jeopardy at the bottom of the table, believing it adds excitement and motivation for players.
The PWR has confirmed no league expansion for the 2026-27 season, citing player pool concerns. With the league's stability and solid foundation, the executive chair, Genevieve Shore, believes adding more teams would strain the system.
Since its relaunch in 2017, the league has undergone two retendering processes, replacing clubs like Richmond and Firwood Waterloo with Exeter Chiefs and Sale Sharks.
